Ship Foam fenders use lightweight and highly elastic EVA foam as a cushioning medium, which is a better floating ship fender than inflatable pneumatic fenders. In recent years, a new type of spraying polyurethane (polyurea) technology has been invented to make the surface of the ship foam fender anti-corrosive and scratch-resistant, and it can adapt to various harsh weather environments. Excellent energy absorption performance, coupled with low reaction force, makes berthing operations easier-especially in difficult conditions. The ship foam filled marine fenders is very safe to use, and there is no risk of blasting. Even if the outer skin of the foam fender is damaged, it will not sink. It can still maintain basic functions until you can repair it. Although the price is not as attractive as the pneumatic fender, but its service life is basically twice that of the inflatable fender. Foam filled fenders are very suitable for dock, especially dock with large tidal range, as well as for ship-to-ship（STS） operations and bridge pier protection.

Our flexible manufacturing process allows us to build virtually any size of fender. Fender colours are typically black or orange – but the polyurethane coating can be mixed and applied in any colour required. The standard core density is 70kg/m – but we an offer higher core densities upon request.

Whether on the quayside or floating in the water, Hippo fenders are easy to handle and install. In the event of minor skin damage, this can be repaired easily and economically with a range of Luhang repair kits. Should extra protection be required, Hippo fenders can be supplied with chain and tyre nets.
