I Introduction on hydro pneumatic fender
Submarines and other vessels which contact fenders below waterline require a unique solution. Hydro Pneumatic Fenders are specially adopted to this application.
The fender body is partially water-filled, then pressurized with air and ballasted to make it stand vertically. Fender draft can be tuned by altering the water: air ratio and inflation pressure. The initial pressure is set to 50kPa.
II Hydro Pneumatic Fender Design and Structure
Hydro Pneumatic Rubber Fender is the same as the body of a normal pneumatic fender. The top end has a flange with an air valve and a water valve and ears for lifting and towing.

XI Usage of Hydro Pneumatic Fender
1. Unpack
Unpack the fender and start inflating within 1 month of receipt. If the air is not filled during storage, the duration of use of the fender may be shortened. Cut steel ropes or straps that are wrapped around the top.
Warning: When cutting ropes or tapes, they may dislodge.
Carefully remove the fender from the pallet to avoid damage from sharp edges or steel ropes. When storing the fender, keep the air pressure in the fender between 0.1-0.2kgf / cm2.
XII Storage
1. Avoid direct contact with sunlight
Make sure that the place where you will store the fender does not receive direct sunlight.
2. Avoid damage
Avoid storing oil or machine oil when storing. Avoid welding or keeping it hot. To avoid damaging the fender, ensure that there are no hard protrusions nor sharp materials in the storage area.
3. Anti-Slip
When securing the fender, securely fasten it with stops or ropes to prevent it from slipping.
4. Store repair material
Store in a dark and cool place.
